WINGS Workshop Series
WINGS
workshops are designed to help you identify your personal
strengths and develop the skills you need to be successful in
the workforce. These services are available throughout your
job search and are offered monthly.
is a week long
workshop that focuses on you. Throughout the week, you will
identify things that are working in your life and those that
are not. Discussions will focus on personal responsibility,
choices, decision-making strategies, and healthy
relationships. Strength-identification at the end of the
week helps prepare you for the start of your job search.
-
Total Job Search shifts the focus toward
employment. You will spend a week working on applications,
practicing interview questions, discussing personal goals,
learning employer expectations, and sharing job search
stories. You will also come up with a plan to ensure that
outside barriers will not prevent you from getting to work
or keeping your job.
-
Total Job Retention is aimed at managing
your life once you are employed. Appropriate workplace
behavior, relationships with co-workers, diversity, job
advancement, dealing with constructive criticism and
conflict resolution are addressed in a series of half day
seminars. Time is also spent on managing your budget,
creating a savings plan, understanding company benefits, and
creating a credit history.
