Employment Action Center Welfare-to-Work Programs will help you find a good job and a
satisfying career!
EACs Welfare to Work
Programs provide FREE employment services to residents of Hennepin,
Ramsey and Dakota County who receive TANF
(Temporary Assistance to Needy Families). Each year, more than 7,000 families take
advantage of our many program services.

More specialized programs!
Offers individuals on MFIP assistance an
opportunity to gain work experience in a flexible, nurturing and
supportive environment. One to one job coaching, job placement
and support services available for up to six months. Eligibility
requirements may vary between positions. Orientations are held
monthly in north and south Minneapolis.
Customized services available for limited
English speakers. Combines intensive workplace literacy and
internship training opportunities for limited English speaking
job seekers.

Provides specialized employment services to
refugees who have been in the U.S. less than five years and are
enrolled in MFIP or the Diversionary Work Program.
Services include Functional Work English classes, job-readiness
workshops, one-on-one employment consultation, and job placement
services.
