Programs will help you find and keep a good job!
The Adult
Programs of Employment Action Center (EAC) have assisted more than 6,000 individuals with
their employment needs over the past five years. These programs' expert career
counselors guide individuals through a skills assessment and match them with employers and
occupations.
EAC's Adult
Programs have received the City of Minneapolis Best Service Provider of the Year Award for
our work with low-income job-seeking adults. Our customers have expressed a 98%
satisfaction rate with the service they received.
Career Strategies for Men (affordable fee-for-service)
Individual
career counseling:
- Career assessment: including
interest, skill, personality type
- Job search assistance
- Resume design or redesign
WorkForce Investment Act (WIA) Program
(formerly called JTPA)
This
comprehensive program, designed for low-income individuals, ages 22 to 54, gives you the
training and support you may need to find a job at a wage needed for a comfortable
living.
We will
conduct an assessment to provide you with guidance and aid in determining your work
interests and skills so we can match you to an employer. Funds can be secured to
provide you with technical training, classes, or resume and job search training where the
outcome is employment.
We will
provide you with the tools you need to be successful in your job search. We have thousands
of job leads from area employers with their latest openings. We have fax machines,
internet job search computers, and the latest information on the job market. We will help
you find the job of your dreams!
