Mission
Statement: EAC
empowers and prepares individuals to achieve their employment potential, while building
diversity and actively opposing racism.
Businesses:
We form
strong partnerships with many businesses, large and small.
They provide us with job leads, internships, and labor market information. We provide them with reliable job applicants. We also have memberships in many local
associations and Chambers of Commerce including:
St. Paul
Chamber of Commerce, TwinWest Chamber of Commerce, Minneapolis Regional Chamber of
Commerce, Midway Chamber of Commerce, and the Lake Street Council.
Funding:
Current
funders include government (federal, state, county, and municipal), Greater Twin Cities
United Way, foundations, corporations, neighborhood organizations, service organizations,
and individuals.
**If you would like
to receive more information about funding or make a contribution to Employment Action
Center, please call our Development Director at 612-752-8833 or lhustad@resource-mn.org.
Community
Partners: EAC works
cooperatively with many organizations such as school districts, battered womens
shelters, health care providers, and housing agencies.
Through these collaborations, program participants gain access to additional
services. In addition, EAC is affiliated with
the Greater Twin Cities United Way, Minnesota Workforce Centers, and the TwinWest,
Minneapolis Regional, Midway, and St. Paul Chambers of Commerce.
Volunteers:
Advisory
committees made up of business and community representatives offer EAC a wide range of
expertise, providing guidance in such areas as strategic planning, development, and
marketing. Other volunteers assist with
fundraiser activities, provide on-site childcare for particular programs, manage clothing
closets, lead seminars, mentor participants, and support staff efforts.
**If you would like
to receive more information about becoming an EAC volunteer, please contact: kdillner@resource-mn.org.
Evolving
to fit needs and neighborhoods: From the
heart of the city to suburban and rural areas, EAC reaches more corners of the community
every year. EAC provides services for people
aged 11 to 85 from diverse backgrounds. EAC
is committed to serving people where they live.
