Women In Transition Services

All Women In Transition services are provided in small-group, supportive workshops.

These sessions include:

Job Exploration – a six-hour session offered twice monthly explores training resources, assesses skills, interests and values and clarifies each participant’s specific job goal.

Job Search Strategies – a six-hour session offered twice monthly matches resume format to a specific job goal and job position and focuses on networking for job leads and interview preparation.

Job Search Support Group – a three-hour session offered weekly for those who have completed Job Search Strategies and are seeking job placement. Participants review job search activity and receive job leads, motivation, encouragement, job coaching and follow-up strategies to job placement. Participants also have access to computer lab tutorials covering basic processes and software applications.

Personal Empowerment Series – three-hour sessions offered quarterly develop ways to strengthen inner resources of flexibility, adaptability and resiliency. These single-topic seminars help you make positive changes that involve moving out of your comfort zone and gaining more understanding of ways to pursue the life of your dreams.

  • Weathering Change
    How to weather a career storm…or other unexpected changes. Forecast ways to navigate change with less stress and more success. Use motivation, wisdom and balance to listen to your inner voice and stay on course no matter which way the wind is blowing. February 3, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Cost: $30 (sliding-fee scale available)

  • Transitions – Moving On!
    Overwhelmed by work and life changes? Learn creative ways to gain comfort, composure and control. Gain insights on how to move effectively through cycles and stages of transition. March 10, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Cost: $30 (sliding-fee scale available)

  • The Dish – Nourishing Communication
    Experience the “power” that words, thoughts and intentions have internally and in the workplace. Gain intuitive insights about “nourishing choices and affirmative self-talk. Leave with renewed courage to trust your inner wisdom. April 7, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Cost: $30 (sliding-fee scale available)

Workplace Effectiveness Series

  • A Whole New Mind
    Identifying conceptual vs. informational work styles, exploring right brain vs. left brain processing, developing creative connections and using story, design, empathy and play in the workplace. February 26, 1:00-4:00 p.m.. Cost: $30 (sliding-fee scale available)

  • Creative Work Ways
    Tapping your five senses to lessen work stress, reframing approaches to find new options and visioning possibilities instead of looking at the limitations. April 23, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Cost: $30 (sliding-fee scale available)

  • Celebrate What’s Right with the World
    Seeing options and opportunities in everyday situations, identifying your energizing work forces and sharing strategies to level-out “pressure-cooker” workdays. June 25, 1:00-4:00 p.m. Cost: $30 (sliding-fee scale available)
